Electrochemistry and Electrolysed Water
Electrochemistry explores the relationship between electrical currents and chemical reactions, allowing for the conversion between chemical and electrical energy. Electrolysed Water (EW) Technology leverages these principles to treat water using electrochemical activation. This process alters the chemical composition, pH, and alkalinity of the water, enabling:
- Elimination of expensive reagents in routine processes
- Enhanced quality of treated substances
- Reduction in the number and duration of technological operations
- Simplification of water and sewage purification processes
Unlike traditional methods, EW technology uses diluted brine and tap water, producing activated solutions (Anolyte and Catholyte) that are highly reactive yet low in mineral content. These solutions are generated in specialized diaphragmatic cells, the core components of every Envirolyte or ECO unit.
